Our desire is to lift Him high in all that we do and say, preach and live the Gospel, and make committed disciples.
And we are here to help you do the same.
Whether it be through Christ-centered summer camp programming for your children and teens, retreat facilities for various church-family retreats, or simply a place of solitude for seeking the Lord, Camp Selah has the Spirit-filled atmosphere perfect for fostering intimate fellowship and spiritual growth.
Come experience Selah for yourself...
Mark & Shelley Emmons
Henry, Colbie, Jasper, & Mabel
Mark Emmons is the current Administrative Director. He & his wife, Shelley, and their four children, Henry, Colbie, Jasper, & Mabel are fulltime residents at the camp. Mark started counseling at Selah after high school and became the year-round program director in 2005. Shelley started washing dishes at Selah in her teens and became the activities director also in 2005. The two were married in 2012. Mark took over as administrative director and Shelley as the communications director in 2014, just before Henry was born. Shelley says, "we have been blessed with a lifetime of involvement in this ministry. God has used Camp Selah time and again to impact our family and we trust He is doing the same in the lives of many who He brings to Selah. May He continue His work in us and through us."
Evany Schmidt
Evany Schmidt became the program director in January of 2022 after many years of involvement with Camp Selah; from camper to YSL, to counselor, and volunteer. She is very kind and compassionate and has a flare for arts and crafts. Evany is a 2021 graduate of Spring Arbor University with a bachelors degree in Business. She grew up in Morenci, MI.
Sharon Winkler
Serving as Camp Selah's Food Service Director is Sharon Winkler. Sharon can also trace her Selah roots back to when she was a camper in her childhood. Those years were crucial in the way of social and spiritual growth for Sharon. Many years later she sought out ways to give back to the Selah ministry and began volunteering in the camp kitchen each summer. Sharon now enjoys developing creative ways to share the gospel to campers through Camp Selah Food Service.
Allie Lehman
Allie Lehman, also previously a camper, YSL, and counselor, has devoted countless summers to the Camp Selah ministry. She is our YSL (Youth Servant Leader) Director, overseeing our teenage staff members each summer. Allie works throughout the school year as a kindergarten teacher in Mason, MI, and also serves at her church's youth group. Her dedication and service to the ministry is a big part of what makes Camp Selah such a great place.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the verbally inspired Word of God, infallible in the original writings, the only written revelation of God to man, and the only divinely authorized standard of Christian faith and practice; we believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; that these are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections; we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, has provided atonement through His shed blood and substitutionary death; in Christ’s bodily resurrection and ascension and His present intercessory work; we believe in the fallen state of man and the necessity of his regeneration by the Holy Spirit and of the individual’s new birth through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ; we believe the repentant, having surrendered to Christ and having been separated from the physical body shall live eternally with God; as for the unrepentant, they shall live in a state of eternal separation from God. We believe that the two ordinances of Scripture are water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably created each person as male or female, and that these two, distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. We believe that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman, and that intimate sexual activity is to occur exclusively within that union.
We believe and put our hope in the eminent return of Jesus Christ to this world.
